General:

Remember to place your blue recycling containers in the hallway to be emptied at this time.

“SENIORS: Please use the blue recycling containers when cleaning papers out of your lockers this week.”

Student Council will be having a highway-cleanup today after school. All volunteers should report to the cafeteria at 3:30 PM.

Girls Volleyball open gym will be held each Sun. night from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the High School. All girls interested in playing are welcome to attend.

There will be a Student Council Meeting on Tues., May 24, at 7:45 AM in the Library. We will be electing officers for next year. All members need to attend.

Today Mrs. Harelstad’s textile design class will be sponsoring an eco-friendly fashion show at 6PM in the auditorium. Cost is $3.00 and all ages are welcome.

General:
There will be a Girls Golf meeting in room 410 today at 7:55 AM. This is a mandatory meeting for anyone interested in Girls Golf next year. Come sign-up and pick-up your season schedule.

Marshfield Clinic – Rice Lake Center will be offering FREE WIAA Sport Screening today Wed., May 18.

ANNOUNCEMENTS – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21


CAREER VALLEY: LHS juniors will have the opportunity to attend Career Valley as a career exploration experience. This event brings many business and post-secondary education exhibits to one location at the Eau Claire County Exposition Center on Thursday, May 6. Sign up in Student Services by April 29.

SUMMER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS, including Environmental Challenge and Drivers Education applications, are available in Student Services. Applications are due May 7th .

ANY JUNIOR GIRL INTERESTED IN BEING A QUEEN CANDIDATE FOR THE 2010 NORTHLAND MARDI GRAS needs to sign-up in the library by Tuesday, April 27. The Ladysmith Jaycees are looking for 3 junior girls with one alternate to represent our school in this year’s Queen Coronation.

STUDENT COUNCIL is having a Highway Clean-up after school today. Members and anyone else who would like to volunteer, are to meet in the cafeteria at 3:30.

HOSA MEMBERS need to turn in their pre-arranged form and code of conduct forms for state competition to Mr. Bunton by Thursday.

AP EXAM PAYMENT: Juniors and seniors who are taking an AP Exam in May need to pay the fee for the test by Friday, April 30. If the payment is not received you will not be able to test and you will still owe $15.

THE MOVIE MAKING PROCESS WORKSHOP ; script writing, filming and editing is Saturday, May 8th at LHS. Whether you have a curiosity in the process of making a movie, an interest in making home videos, a desire to engage in the community, or just want a fun and educational experience this workshop is for you. Registration forms are available in Student Services.

JUNIORS: The vote for prom court will be on Thursday in the cafeteria during lunch. Make sure to stop by the voting table and cast your ballots.

GIRL'S VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM is held each Sunday evening from 4 to 6 pm at the elementary school. Any girl's interested in playing volleyball are welcome. You do NOT have to be on a high school team in order to participate. Come and join the fun!
