ANNOUNCEMENTS – TUESDAY, JANUARY 19

MALES 17 AND 18 NEED TO REGISTER FOR SELECTIVE SERVICE within a month of their 18th birthday. This is a federal law, and those who fail to do so may be denied student loans, job training, government jobs, and driver’s licenses in most states. We want you to have all the facts, take your civic responsibility seriously, and make the most of every opportunity. For registration details, stop into Student Services.

A FINANCIAL AID MEETING FOR SENIORS AND PARENTS will be held in the LHS auditorium on Wednesday, January 27 at 6:00 p.m. A financial aid expert will walk you through the process of completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and discuss scholarship opportunities. It is helpful to bring materials needed to complete the FAFSA form.

ONE-ON-ONE FINANCIAL AID ADVISING SESSIONS are also available on Wednesday, February 17; 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sign up in Student Services.

WISCONSIN INDIANHEAD TECHNICAL COLLEGE – RICE LAKE CAREER DAY for Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors is Thursday, February 25. Experience two career sessions of your choice, hands-on awareness of WITC programs, and interaction with college instructors and students. Register in Student Services by Friday, January 22.

STUDENTS WHO DID NOT RECEIVE THEIR 2ND SEMESTER SCHEDULE are to pick up their schedule in student services as soon as possible.

SENIORS: Please remember to complete your Career Reporting forms by Friday. They will be the basis for your Reality Academy experience on February 10 at Bruce High School. If you need help, see Mrs. Kuehn in room 330 .

PLAY PRACTICE will be Thursday, January 21, right after school.

STUDENT COUNCIL is running the concession stand tonight and members are needed to assist. Plan to be there at 6pm. You may work in shifts. See Mrs. Diamond or Mrs. Krings today.

SECOND SEMESTER HCA/CNA STUDENTS please remember you need to have your physicals completed and your first PPD done by the first day of class which is 1/25/10. No exceptions. You can pick up your reading assignments/syllabus/books with Mrs. Krings in the nursing office. See Mrs. Krings with questions.
