Business Education Classes

As first semester ends, here are some of the business class activities. In Financial Accounting, Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College made a simulation to use and the students have been working on it in class the last couple of weeks. They actually like doing it! Students that have had a hard time on tests, are able to apply what they know and it is rewarding to see them excited about the class! Students have asked if they could do these simulations all year! The simulations are like working on a job as an accountant as it takes them through the whole first cycle of accounting.

In Introduction to Business students are working on checking account simulations that Ladysmith Federal Savings and Loan has purchased for us. Some students really struggled at first with the reconciliation process, but after they practiced more--they completed the rest of them easily; now most students are finished with the assignments!
