Girls Advance to Sectional Final

The Ladysmith Girls Basketball Team took one step closer to a trip to Madison by beating Amery last night at New Richmond in a Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA)Sectional semi-final game 44-34. The freshmen loaded Jills pulled away from a strong Amery team led by their Division 1 recruit Kelly Stewart. The Jills take on the Altoona Rails Saturday night at Chippewa Falls in the Sectional Final to decide which team advances to the Girls' State Basketball Tournament next week in Madison.
