ONE-ON-ONE FINANCIAL AID ADVISING SESSIONS are available on Wednesday, February 17; 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sign up in Student Services.
1ST SEMESTER CNA STUDENTS may pick up a copy of the new promissory book in Mrs. Krings’s office or Student Services. The January 2010 book has the new testing requirements.
FIRST SEMESTER COLLEGE SUCCESS STUDENTS should pick up their journals in Student Services.
SENIORS INTERESTED IN THE NUE OUTSTANDING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP should see Mr. Jansen to get the appropriate form and information. This scholarship needs to be completed by Monday, February 15.
ANY JUNIOR interested in attending the county government day event on Feb 23 see Mr. Novakofski before Friday, Feb 5.
HAITI FUNDRAISER: The LHS Student Council, Heart of the North, Mr. Novakofski and Miss Rabas are sponsoring a fundraiser for the people of Haiti. The global study classes are selling Hearts for Haiti. There are jars in the library and office for students and staff to contribute to the relief fund. The week of February 8-12 Student Council will be selling Mrs. Brown’s famous sugar cookies during lunch.
THE LADYSMITH GBB C TEAM defeated Cameron last night, 45-11. The B team defeated Hayward 29-21. Congrats on a 13-3 overall record to the Jills A team defeating Cumberland for a second time 48-31. Way to go to all the girls basketball squads.
A REMINDER TO THE FORENSICS TEAM: Our first competition is coming up on Feb. 9. This is just over a week away. Be sure to practice over the weekend. Also, there will be no Forensics practice tonight.
BASEBALL SIGN UP is in the library through next week.
THE JUNIOR CLASS PROM will be on Saturday, May 15. It will be held in the high school gym. This year’s theme is Once Upon a Time with pastel colors and the song, “You’ll be in My Heart.”
