ANNOUNCEMENTS – WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10


HAITI FUNDRAISER: The LHS Student Council, Heart of the North, Mr. Novakofski and Miss Rabas are sponsoring a fundraiser for the people of Haiti. The global study classes are selling Hearts for Haiti. There are jars in the library and office for students and staff to contribute to the relief fund. Student Council is selling Mrs. Brown’s famous sugar cookies during lunch. Buy your hearts and your cookies to make LHS the Heart of the North Haiti Fundraising Champions!

GIRLS SOFTBALL SIGN UP is in the library. Girls interested in playing softball this spring should sign up by February 12. Open gym for softball begins Sunday, February 14 from 1-2:00 p.m. for five weeks.

BOYS AND GIRLS TRACK SIGN UP is in the library. All interested students should sign up by February 12.

YOUTH OPTIONS applications for 1st semester of next year are available in Student Services. Juniors and Seniors may take classes through WITC or online if they have successfully completed all the course offerings we have in a particular area. Registration deadline is March 1.

LADYSMITH FEDERAL JUNIOR SAVERS CLUB is a savings program just for kids. Some benefits include a higher interest rate than a regular savings account, prizes for saving and special Junior Savers Club “Deposit Days”. Anyone 16 years and younger can join. Stop into Ladysmith Federal on Monday, February 15th for the kick off of this new program.

FORENSICS had a fantastic night at Sub-District competition in rice Lake yesterday. Everyone put in a lot of effort and 23 qualified to compete at Districts next month. Please congratulate all team members if you see them today, and recognize them for their hard work. Those that competed last night were: Rachelle Estabrook, Will Haasl, Josh Sommer, Cody McCann, Rachel Helgeson, Hayleigh Turner, Tristan Nelson, Brittany Thummel, Lexi DuSell, Emily Nelson, Elijah Freeman, Desi Taylor, Brittany Hess, Jessica Sisko, Amanda Gustafson, Missy Nelson, Kassie Krell, Sigrid Stensvold, Tori Ostenso, Taylor Stunkel, Logan Krukowski, Cassandra Repinski, Anna Lichwa, and Sarah Helgeson.
