HAITI FUNDRAISER: The LHS Student Council, Heart of the North, Mr. Novakofski and Miss Rabas are sponsoring a fundraiser for the people of Haiti. The global study classes are selling Hearts for Haiti. There are jars in the library and office for students and staff to contribute to the relief fund. The week of February 8-12 Student Council will be selling Mrs. Brown’s famous sugar cookies during lunch. Buy your hearts and order your cookies to make LHS the Heart of the North Haiti Fundraising Champions!
GIRLS SOFTBALL SIGN UP is in the library. Girls interested in playing softball this spring should sign up by February 12. Open gym for softball begins Sunday, February 14 from 1-2:00 p.m. for five weeks.
BOYS AND GIRLS TRACK SIGN UP is in the library. All interested students should sign up by February 12.
ATTENTION FORENSICS: Mrs. Chopp WILL be here for practice after school today. Also, all pre-arranges and permission forms must be turned in ASAP.
SENIORS: It's time to take care of your pre-arranged forms for the Reality Academy. Turn them in to Mrs. Kuehn ASAP!
YOUTH OPTIONS applications for 1st semester of next year are available in Student Services. Juniors and Seniors may take classes through WITC or online if they have successfully completed all the course offerings we have in a particular area. Registration deadline is March 1.
LIFEGUARDS should report to the Pool today.
ANY JUNIOR HEALTH CARE ACADEMY STUDENT that is interested in enrolling in the Dental Assistant Program during their senior year must see Mr. Bunton by Tuesday afternoon.
THERE WILL BE A BEAR CLUB MEETING on Tuesday morning at 7:55 in Mr. Bunton’s room.
TRANSCRIPTS: Juniors pick up your transcripts in Study Hall today. Transcripts for Freshmen and Sophomores will be handed out in English class today. Use your transcript to assist you in your course selections for next year.
BINGO REMINDER - BINGO at the Ladysmith Nursing Home is tomorrow, February 9, 1:50-3:00. If you are volunteering, be sure to turn your pre-arranged form into Mrs. Kuehn by tomorrow morning.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRLS BASKETBALL A-TEAM in defeating Spooner Friday night in a last second shot to win 46-45. This brings their record to 15-2. Be sure to check with Jolene Erickson where to see her game winning shot! Way to go Jills!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LUMBERJACK WRESTLING TEAM who earned a Conference Championship Saturday. Five wrestlers won 1 st place: Congratulations to Jace Peterson, Mitch Livingston, Nick Becker, Ross Peterson and Keith Rudesill. Way to go Jacks!
