Daily Announcements

Sept 3, 2010 ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Girl’s golf went to Superior last night and shot well. As a team their total was 217and they tied for second. Haley Seifert shot a 44 and took first place adding 5 points to her conference score. Their next match is at home on Tuesday. Come out and support your team.

Any lifeguards with a current CPR card and who had period 6 free can sign up to lifeguard for the Adapted Swim. This is a paid position. See Mrs. Olson if you are interested.

All of Mrs. Olson’s Aerobic and Advanced Aerobics classes will meet in the Health Room #720 today.

Any HS student interested in being a part of the homecoming dance routine should sign up in the library. The dance will be choreographed to “Can’t Buy me Love” and a student from UWEC will be here to help. Practices will be evenings and Sundays. See Mrs. Olson for details and questions. This is a performance for Homecoming only.

Tryouts for the fall musical, “Willy Wonka” will be Wed., Sept. 8, after school and Thurs., Sept. 9, at 6:00pm in the LHS auditorium, and also Thurs., Sept 9 after school at the Middle School. If unable to make any of these see Mr. Novakofski or Mr. Jenson. Yes, you, too, can be an Ompa Lumpa. And if you are interested in helping with working backstage, sign up with Mr. Novakofski or Mrs. Lawrence.

If you are interested in riding the bus to the Lumberjacks vs St. Croix Falls football game tonight-there is a sign up sheet in the Office—there will be no cost for this bus. The bus will depart from the High School at 5:00pm. Come support the Jacks!

If anyone has any enrollment papers, please turn them into the office as soon as possible.

The Trident Swimming and Diving team will be having a car wash and bake sale at Gordy’s County Market this Sat. from 10 until 4 and again on Sunday from 11 to 4. It is a free-will donation. Stop by and support our team.

There will be a BEAR Club meeting in Mr. Bunton’s room-room 610- on Wednesday morning at 7:55.

Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team in defeating Cornell 3 sets to 0 and to the B team for winning their match, 2 sets to 1. Thank you to all of the students who came out to support the team last night.

All volleyball players are reminded to meet in the cafeteria after school today to pick up their cookie dough.
