General:
The Bear Club is looking for your used printer cartridges and unwanted cell phones. These items can be taken to Mr. Bunton’s room.
Attention Forensics members!
There will be a meeting at 8:00 AM in Mrs. Chopp’s room on Thur. morning to discuss team shirts. If you want a say in this year’s design, plan to attend this meeting.
Also, there has been a change to the date of the Forensics DISTRICT competition in Eau Claire. This year, it will be held on March 14. SUB-DISTRICTS are still being held in Rice Lake on Feb. 17.

Seniors are reminded to bring in a baby picture of themselves for the senior slide show by Fri. Feb. 4. Give to Mrs. Peggar in the library.
Student Services
More scholarships have been listed and deadlines are coming up for many of these scholarships. You need to keep checking the Student Services Bulletin Board and stop into Student Services for more information.
Freshmen and Sophomore grade students interested in learning about health care fields should apply to participate in Medical Discovery Days on Mar. 3 and 8. Participants will tour CVTC and Rusk County Memorial Hospital where they will meet professionals working in the field, explore a variety of careers and participate in hands on learning. See student services for an application. Cost to attend is $10.00 which includes a T-shirt and meals for both days.
There will be an ACT Test Prep on mathematics today during fourth hour. Students must sign up in Student Services to attend this session. Be sure to bring your ACT Test Prep packet and have the math portion completed.
Students in Introduction to Computers, Personal Finance, and Desk Top Publishing that would like to earn credits for WITC should get their registration forms in to Mrs. Titera by Fri. Mrs. Titera has extra copies if needed. If you have all 3 classes you can earn 9 credits – think of all of the money you are saving.
The Rusk County Community Foundation has (3) $500.00 grants available for a project which will fill a school or community need. The deadline for the application is Feb. 11 - See Student Services for the application.
Juniors and Seniors: CVTC will have career tours available on the Eau Claire campus on Feb. 15. Stop by student services to see what tours are available or for more information.
Seniors that will be attending college in the Fall and did not attend the Financial Aid Meeting last week may pick up a folder in Student Services that contains important information regarding signing up for loans, grants and scholarships. Also, there are still spaces available on Feb. 9th to receive help completing the FAFSA application. Stop by to check times.
