LHS students compete at the American Birkebeiner

LHS students sucessfully completed the 23 km (13.8 mile) Kortelopet ski race this past Saturday at the American Birkebeiner the largest cross country ski marathon in the United States. Tori Ostenso, Andi Ostenso, Andrew Hetke, Charlie Coughenour, Desi Taylor, Dane Stunkel, Melissa Gorsegner, Megan Gorsegner all braved the elements, course, and crowds.

Tori led the team in with a time of 1:44:56.2 and placed 13out of 32 in her age group and 39 out of 503 female finishers and 139 out of 1068 overall.

Andi finished next with a time of 1:49:23.1 and placed 6 out of 14 in her age group; 49 out of 503 female finishers and 180 out of 1068 overall.

Andrew was our top male finisher with a time of 1:51:16.3 and placed 17 out of 26 in his age group; 145 out of 565 male finishers, and 202 out of 1068 overall.
