Defending Champs Again
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LADYSMITH HIGH MILEAGE VEHICLE TEAM for their performance at the UW-Stout competition. The HMV team consists of Doug Wojcik, Nick Wojcik, Adam Stanger, Mike Erickson, Frank Miller, Erica Webster, Ryan Janson, Nick Becker, Keith Rudesil and Justin Franzen. The all new car #52 took driven by Doug Wojcik placed first in the unlimited class running 343.29 mpg. and last year’s car #20 driven by Mike Erickson placed second in the Modified Class running 547.22. State Champs again!

ANNOUNCEMENTS –MONDAY, APRIL 19
CAREER VALLEY: LHS juniors will have the opportunity to attend Career Valley as a career exploration experience. This event brings many business and post-secondary education exhibits to one location at the Eau Claire County Exposition Center on Thursday, May 6. Sign up in Student Services by April 29.
SUMMER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS, including Environmental Challenge and Drivers Education applications, are available in Student Services. Applications are due May 7th .
THE SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAM MEETING is in the cafeteria during lunch today.
ANY JUNIOR GIRL INTERESTED IN BEING A QUEEN CANDIDATE FOR THE 2010 NORTHLAND MARDI GRAS needs to sign-up in the library by Tuesday, April 27. The Ladysmith Jaycees are looking for 3 junior girls with one alternate to represent our school in this year’s Queen Coronation.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FORENSICS TEAM MEMBERS who had a very successful state competition in Madison on Saturday. The 17 students who performed earned 5 bronze, 3 silver, and 9 gold medals. They represented LHS well and should be proud of their efforts. Be sure to congratulate them on these achievements. Also, Forensics shirts are in. You must have your money in to Mrs. Chopp when you get your shirt. Cost is $15.

JV GOLF PLAYERS going to Cumberland are released at 2:30 today.
GIRL'S VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM is held each Sunday evening from 4 to 6 pm at the elementary school. Any girl's interested in playing volleyball are welcome. You do NOT have to be on a high school team in order to participate. Come and join the fun!
