ANNOUNCEMENTS –TUESDAY, MAY 25

SUMMER WORK CO-OP: If you have a summer job and register for the Summer Work Co-op through summer school and fulfill all the requirements, you can earn ½ a credit. Students interested in earning a ½ credit through the Summer Work Co-op need to stop into Student Services and see Mrs. Opelt.

MARSHFIELD DENTAL CLINC is seeking to fulfill a part-time Office Clerk position. All applicants must be able to work 3:30-5:00pm Monday through Friday throughout the year. The Office Clerk will assist in small office tasks such as copying, filing, typing, opening mail, updating binders, and other tasks to gain a better understanding of the business field. Stop into Student Services to apply.

CONSERVATION CAMP is sponsored by the Wisconsin Land & Water Conservation Association June 22-25 at Trails End in Bruce. The camp is open to 8th, 9th, and 10 th grade students and the cost is $100. Scholarships are available to help with the cost. Brochures are available in Student Services.

A REMINDER TO ALL HEALTH CARE ACADEMY STUDENTS: Please return your books and uniforms to Mrs. Krings.

YEARBOOKS ARE IN: Students who ordered and paid for their book may pick them up from Mr. Wagenaar’s room beginning at 7:30 am on Wednesday. Students who reserved a yearbook but haven’t paid may also pick up their books on Wednesday with their money of 65 dollars. Checks should be made to LHS Yearbook.

MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAM: The Mountain Bike Team will meet at 7:55 am on Wednesday morning, tomorrow, in Mr. Bunton’s room.

BOYS TRACK RESULTS: Congratulations to Trent Schmidt and Andrew Hetke who qualified for sectionals at last night’s regional track meet. Trent qualified in the Pole Vault and Andrew qualified in the 1600meters. Sectionals are at Colby on this Thursday. Great job guys!

GIRLS TRACK RESULTS : Congratulations to all the girls who competed at the Regional Track meet in Bloomer last night. They did a great job representing Ladysmith. A special congratulations to the following girls who qualified for the sectional track meet this Thursday: Sig Stensvold, Tori Ostenso, Megan Rogness, and Andi Ostenso in the 4x800 M relay, Andi and Tori Ostenso who placed 1st and 2nd in the 1600 M and the 3200 M races, and to Sigrid Stensvold who advanced in the 300 M hurdles. Great Job Girls!

WIAA FREE PHYSICALS: The WIAA free physicals are offered today. Students can pick up letters and information in the library and the front office.

MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE TEAM: Students interested in forming a LHS Mountain Bike Race Team to compete during the 2010 summer season should contact Mr. Bunton for details and attend an informational meeting at 7”55 am tomorrow morning in Mr. Bunton’s room.

GIRL'S VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM is held each Sunday evening from 4 to 6 pm at the elementary school. Any girl's interested in playing volleyball are welcome. You do NOT have to be on a high school team in order to participate. Come and join the fun!

SENIORS: Seniors who are awarded scholarships at tonight’s banquet are reminded to report to the library at 7:45 tomorrow morning with stamps or money for stamps, thank you cards and a pen.

THANK YOU to all the students who volunteered this past year at the Ladysmith Nursing Home. Your time and effort was greatly appreciated by the residents and staff!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRLS TRACK TEAM for their performances at last night’s conference track meet. Top finishes for the girls were the 4x800m relay team of Sig Stensvold, Tori Ostenso, Megan Rogness and Andi Ostenso with a second place finish and Tori Ostenso finishing 2nd in the 3200m. First place finishes for the girls were Andi Ostenso in the 1600m and 3200m. Andi also broke the old conference record in the 3200m by 10 seconds finishing in 11:22.54. Nice job girls!
