State Competition Results
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FORENSICS TEAM MEMBERS who had a very successful state competition in Madison on Saturday. The 17 students who performed earned 5 bronze, 3 silver, and 9 gold medals. As always, they represented LHS very well!.

ANNOUNCEMENTS –THURSDAY, APRIL 15
TREES FOR TOMORROW NATURAL RESOURCES CAREERS WORKSHOP : Are you wondering if a career in the outdoors is for you? Want to earn a college credit? The Trees for Tomorrow Natural Resources Careers Workshop shows you where and how to get the practical education and training you need to become a forester, botanist, conservation officer, wildlife biologist, outdoor recreation manager, water resource specialist, fisheries manager or other natural resource professional! Follow your passion and explore a career in the outdoors at the Trees for Tomorrow Natural Resources Careers Workshop June 21-25. Applications are available in Student Services.
CAREER VALLEY: LHS juniors will have the opportunity to attend Career Valley as a career exploration experience. This event brings many business and post-secondary education exhibits to one location at the Eau Claire County Exposition Center on Thursday, May 6. Sign up in Student Services by April 29.
SUMMER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS, including Environmental Challenge and Drivers Education applications, are available in Student Services. Applications are due May 7th .
SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAM SIGN-UP is in the library. Girls should sign up by April 18. There will be a meeting in the cafeteria during lunch on April 19.
SENIORS: Remember to get one of your baby pictures for the senior slide show to Ashley Zahurones or to Student Services as soon as possible.
HOSA MEETING: There will be a meeting during 5B lunch today for all state HOSA competitors in Mr. Bunton’s room. Pizza will be served.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LHS MUSIC STUDENTS who participated in the District Solo & Ensemble Festival this past Saturday. Our musicians took two class B events and 29 Class A events to the festival and received four “2” ratings and 27 “1” ratings, 16 advanced to the State Level Festival which will be held on Saturday, May 1. What a successful day! You should all be very proud of your accomplishments.
GIRL'S VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM is held each Sunday evening from 4 to 6 pm at the elementary school. Any girl's interested in playing volleyball are welcome. You do NOT have to be on a high school team in order to participate. Come and join the fun!

Swimmers Compete at State
The Trident 4x50 relay swim team competes at the high school state swim meet being held in Madison this Friday and Saturday. Our Sectional winning team and school record breaking members are Missy Avery, Rachel Helgeson, Cassie Long, and Hailey Zimmer. Congratulations girls and good luck at state.

Pep assembly
There will be a pep assembly Thursday at 3:00 PM to recognize our state swimmers, our fall all-conference athletes, and introduce our student actors from "Much Ado About Nothing". We are using a late schedule so the final day of state testing is not disrupted.

Band will play to start the assembly.
(Girls golf will not be announced.) The assembly is for the student actors of our fall play, our athletes being recognized as all conference, and our conference champions and state participants.
