General:

The Bear Club is looking for your used printer cartridges and unwanted cell phones. These items can be taken to Mr. Bunton’s room.

Students are reminded that if you are leaving early for hunting season, you must do a PA. and turn it into the office before you leave.

Athletics:

Girl’s basketball players: you will have a mandatory meeting tomorrow morning in the library at 7:55.

Congratulations to Sigrid Stensvold and Mariah Stoll for their excellent showing at the State Swimming and Diving meet. Mariah finished as seeded with an excellent 200 Free swim. Sigrid had the honor of placing the highest of any Trident Swimmer or Diver with her 6th place finish in diving. She is the first Trident to stand on the Podium. Thank you everyone for your support.

Meetings, practices, etc:

There will be a follow up meeting for FCCLA in Room 711 tomorrow morning at 7:45. Treats will be served!

Scholarships: The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship is due December 1st..

Seniors: If you are planning on attending a technical school or university, you should be working on completing your applications. If you need assistance, stop in Student Services.

Shop with a Cop has been set for December 11th (second Sat. in Dec.) from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Student volunteers are needed. For more information or to sign up to volunteer, stop in Student Services.

Check out the Student Services Bulletin Board. You will find information on available scholarships and their due dates. You should check the bulletin board daily for updates and other information.

ANNOUNCEMENTS – WEDNESDAY, MAY 5


THE JUNIOR CLASS PROM will be held on Saturday, May 15, from 8-midnight in the high school gym. This year's theme is Once Upon a Time. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased in the office before school and during lunch. Pictures will be taken by Connie Thompson. Anyone bringing a non-LHS guest must sign him/her up in the library by Wednesday, May 5, at 3:30.

GIRLS BASKETBALL MEETING: There is a meeting Thursday morning at 8:00 in the library for all girls interested in going out for basketball next year.

SENIOR RECOGNITION BANQUET: Reservation forms for the Senior Recognition Banquet are due by May 7th to Mr. Bunton. More information and blank forms are available from Mr. Bunton or Student Services .

FLOWER SALE: The Ladysmith High School College Success class would like to remind all students and staff that Mother’s Day is coming up Sunday, May 9. This is the one time during the year you can let that special female know how much you appreciate the hours of painful labor she went through and for putting up with you all these years. College Success students will be taking orders for carnations and roses this week in the front lobby in the morning and during the noon hour. Carnations are $2 and roses are $3. Delivery will be 8th hour on Friday. All profits will be used to make a donation to the March of Dimes, a non-profit organization dedicated to healthy births and the prevention of birth defects. So bring your dollars and order a flower for you mom!

BINGO: May 11 will be the last opportunity to help with bingo at the Ladysmith Nursing Home this school year. Please get a school activity pre-arranged from Mrs. Kuehn and return it by next Tuesday morning.

MARDI GRAS QUEEN CANDIDATES are Katrina Niles, Kayla Nyseth and Tori Ostenso.

THE FORENSICS TEAM is having a meeting in Mrs. Chopp’s room tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. to discuss a Parent’s Night. See Mrs. Chopp ASAP if you are interested and can not attend.

STUDY HALL is in the cafeteria today periods 1-4. The library is closed for AP testing.

GIRL'S VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM is held each Sunday evening from 4 to 6 pm at the elementary school. Any girl's interested in playing volleyball are welcome. You do NOT have to be on a high school team in order to participate. Come and join the fun!
