General:
There is a signup sheet in the Library for any boys interested in playing baseball this year. You may signup through Wednesday, March 2. Please do so during your study hall or free time.

Student Services
More scholarships have been listed and deadlines are coming up for many of these scholarships. You need to keep checking the Student Services Bulletin Board and stop into Student Services for more information.
Seniors should stop into Student Services as soon as possible and update us on where you are with your future plans.
The deadline for Youth Options is today.
Seniors, many of you have not stopped in for materials and assistance regarding the local scholarships that are due on March 10th. This is a great opportunity to get financial assistance towards your college education. Remember recommendations are required for many of the scholarships so make sure you are providing them with plenty of time to get the necessary forms completed.
Lumberjack Day will be on Friday, March 11. Some events for the day include the Pancake Eating Contest, Class Relay Race, Best Dressed Lumberjack and Lumberjill, Dodge-ball, Volleyball, Bingo, Poker, Foose Ball, Hacky Sac, Chess, and Checkers. Sign-up sheets are posted on the Student Council Bulletin Board by the library.

ANNOUNCEMENTS – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18
SENIORS ARE REMINDED TO GET THEIR SENIOR PICTURE IN TO MR. WAGENAAR by the end of today. If there any questions, please see Mr. Wagenaar.
ALL STUDENTS ARE REMINDED TO ORDER YEARBOOKS ONLINE . The price is 60 dollars. For information, please see Mr. Wagenaar.
ARE YOU 18 AND LOOKING FOR A PART TIME JOB? The United States Census 2010 has available positions starting in February. Pick up a brochure in Student Services for more information.
THE LHS STUDENT COUNCIL is sponsoring the American Red Cross Blood Drive. This is on Thursday, January 14 beginning at 9am. You must be 17 years of age or 16 with parental consent and meet other guidelines to qualify to donate blood. Please check the Student Council bulletin board for more information or see Mrs. Krings or Mrs. Diamond. The sign up sheet and prearranges are in the library with Mrs Peggar. Give the gift of Life!! Look for upcoming announcements concerning the blood drive.
STUDENTS TAKING THE ACT IN FEBRUARY, APRIL OR JUNE are asked to sign up in Student Services in order to accommodate for ACT prep sessions. Please sign up as soon as possible.
MRS. RABAS’ SOCIAL PROBLEMS CLASS is having a collection drive for the Family Abuse Shelter in Ladysmith. Items needed are listed on posters throughout the school. Give a donation and earn a chance to win a free pizza!
DID YOU KNOW THAT IF YOU SIGN UP FOR FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH or if you are currently enrolled, you qualify for fee waivers for the ACT, Compass Exam and college applications? For more information or to pick up an application, stop into Student Services.
THE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM is released at 3:15 today for their game in Spooner.
THERE WILL BE A SENIOR MEETING Tuesday, December 22 at 8:15 in the auditorium.

STUDENTS ARE REMINDED to turn in a pre-arranged absence form if they will be gone tomorrow, November 20.
STUDENT MUST SIGN UP FOR THE HAWKINS SHUTTLE in the front office. Students who wish to ride Monday and Tuesday must sign up in the front office by 9:30 on Monday and you must sign up by Wednesday 9:30 to ride Wednesday and Thursday after practices.
ALL SENIORS need to stop into Student Services to confirm the spelling of their name to be printed on their diploma.

STUDENTS ARE REMINDED to turn in a pre-arranged absence form if they will be gone this Friday, the day before hunting season.
THERE IS A SIGN UP FOR THE HAWKINS SHUTTLE in the front office. Students who wish to ride Monday and Tuesday must sign up in the front office by 9:30 on Monday and you must sign up by 9:30 Wednesday to ride Wednesday and Thursday after practices.
NATIONAL SOCIETY DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION GOOD CITIZENS PROGRAM honors an outstanding senior (male or female) who demonstrates qualities of a good citizen. This is an opportunity for seniors to participate in a scholarship competition. If you wish to compete for the scholarship, pick up application information in Student Services and return it by December 4.
THERE WILL BE A HOSA MEETING on Wednesday afternoon during the activity period in Mr. Bunton’s room. Any student wishing to attend must see Mr. Bunton today to make sure your name is on the attendance list.
THERE WILL BE A SENIOR MEETING in the cafeteria on Wednesday at 3:20 during the activity period. See Mrs. Neisinger if you are not able to attend.

THERE IS A JUNIOR PROM MEETING today, immediately after school in Mr. Groothousen’s room. Bring your ideas and be ready to brainstorm.
ALL WINTER DANCE TEAM PARTICIPANTS , remember practice is at 5:30 tonight in the Apartment. Please use the back entry and the doorbell. All team members attending the UWEC clinic this Sat, departure time is 8:00 in front of the High School. . We will have a short meeting during activity time this Wed to discuss details. If you plan on attending you must be at the meeting.
THERE WILL BE A FORENSICS MEETING Wednesday during activity time. Anyone who is interested in participating in Forensics this year is encouraged to attend. If you cannot be there, please see Mrs. Chopp to sign up before Thanksgiving break. You are not obligated to participate if you sign up, but Mrs. Chopp needs to know how many people are interested .
CONGRATULATIONS to the Trident Swim Team’s 4 x 50 relay team consisting of Rachel Helgeson, Cassie Long, Missy Avery, and Hailey Zimmer for placing 14th at the state swim meet.
